Youth-led arts festival set to rock Ipswich County Library

On Saturday 9 November, the Takeover Festival will bring workshops, talks, exhibitions and live music to Ipswich County Library. The festival is entirely organised by young people and is facilitated by Suffolk Libraries' Arts Council funded youth arts programme, BLOC: Building Libraries on Creativity.

Space chasers to pick up rewards for a successful Summer Reading Challenge

As the Summer Reading Challenge draws to a close, local libraries are gearing up for their award presentations. Thousands of children who completed this year's space-themed challenge will be presented with a medal and certificate for their efforts, with many of the ceremonies having local dignitaries and authors in attendance.

Broomhill Library volunteer Monica Ford recently retired after 32 years of delivering library books to people in their homes. Manager David Cook and volunteer engagement manager Diane Moore presented her with a card and flowers on behalf of Suffolk Libraries to thank her all she has done for us over the years.
