Changes to online resources

Due to reductions in Suffolk Libraries’ stock budget, we reviewed our online and physical reference stock in 2016 and made a number of changes. This has included cancelling some of our online subscriptions.

Suffolk Libraries and Suffolk County Council are launching a new initiative called Suffolk Libraries Local in March. This pilot scheme is being funded by Suffolk County Council and will bring improved access to literacy, information, digital skills, activities and learning opportunities to the heart of Suffolk’s communities.

On Thursday 9 February Suffolk County Council approved its budget for 2017-18 which includes a £200,000 reduction in the funding which Suffolk Libraries receives.
