Suffolk Libraries has launched an exciting new eLibrary service giving anyone with a library card free online access to a wide range of top newspaper and magazine titles from around the world.

Several of our libraries have recently changed their telephone numbers.

Suffolk Libraries is doing its bit to make Suffolk the most active county, with six libraries now offering a range of sports equipment for customers to borrow.

Over half a million items have now been borrowed from our eLibrary. In 2017/18, our customers borrowed nearly 107,000 eBooks and 29,000 eAudiobooks from OverDrive and BorrowBox, downloaded 24,000 eMagazines from RBdigital, and 52,000 songs from Freegal. They also streamed 109,000 songs from Freegal.

Bungay Library will be closed from Tuesday 10 - Wednesday 18 July for refurbishment and redecoration. It will reopen at the usual time of 9am on Thursday 19 July.

Beccles Library will be closing for one week in June for refurbishment and improvements.

Several library projects have recently received funding from Suffolk Libraries Extra, the supporters' fundraising scheme we launched last year.

As of 1 April 2018, we have official National Portfolio Status from the Arts Council.
