The new Eye Library celebrated its ‘topping out’ ceremony last week, where representatives from Suffolk Libraries, Suffolk County Council and Design and Property Consultants Concertus came together to mark the occasion and take a look round the new library.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport recently interviewed Friends of Thurston Library chairman Richard Fawcett. The clip the DCMS produced will form part of a forthcoming longer video about Suffolk Libraries and highlights the real difference the library makes to the wellbeing of the local community.

Suffolk Libraries is piloting providing free sanitary items, no questions asked, in ten different libraries.
