Publisher Virago are marking the 40th anniversary of their Modern Classics novels with a set of deluxe reissues, designed by Hannah Wood and featuring artwork by Yehrin Tong.
As well as some of the best novels published by women in the past four decades, the collection includes a hardback anthology, Writers as Readers: a celebration of Virago Modern Classics. In this book, contributors including Maggie O’Farrell, Zadie Smith and Sandi Toksvig reflect upon the treasures of the Virago Modern Classics collection.
