Our aims
- To advance the education of the general public in Beccles and the surrounding area
- To help the residents of Beccles and the neighbourhood, regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions
- To provide recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare

The story so far
We are all keen library users, working together in an unincorporated association, which is a member of Suffolk Libraries Industrial and Provident Society (IPS). All of us are entitled to attend and vote at the AGM and our monthly meetings, and may also stand in the annual elections for the trustees.
Recent successes
- Raising funds through applications to different local charities and businesses for grants
- Established a 100 Club which currently has 93 members
- Working in partnership with The Friends of Beccles Library to organise regular events
